Teaching
A key goal of the NCIEC is to enhance interpreting education outcomes by providing and promoting effective practice-based educational opportunities and supports for interpreter educators and program administrators. While responsibility for educator training and professional development lies primarily with the National Interpreter Education Center, the Regional Interpreter Education Centers may offer opportunities as well. Through these web pages and links to the Consortium Centers and partner organizations, visitors will learn about National Interpreter Education Center efforts to provide curricular resources for infusion into interpreting coursework, teacher training opportunities, training in ASL proficiency assessment, technical assistance webinars, student recruitment materials and supports, a student research journal, and student internship opportunities in vocational rehabilitation settings. Both the National and Regional Centers offer a variety of topical webinars, online coursework, networking opportunities, and technical support for administrators and faculty.
